Showroom & an interesting Console Table
The new showroom is now picking up speed, the plastering is complete and our senior cabinet maker has been busy making some doors and a sliding bookcase which will set the showroom apart from any other in the area.
Although we are still a long way off from opening with a full range of our bespoke and standard pieces it is getting more and more exciting each week. So keep an eye on here for more news on when the grand opening will be.
Just before Christmas we were designing a Console Table with a difference for a world renowned Interior Designers and at the beginning of last week we were finally instructed to begin the project. To say it is something a little bit different from our usual console table wouldn't be a lie but one that when we have finished will look out of this world I'm sure. Again I will post weekly updates on the console so you can see the steps involved in making such an eye catching piece.
This week also involved a walk around the Furniture Show held at the NEC. How things have changed, years ago this was the pinnacle of all furniture shows attracting a high volume of buyers, whom would be offered quality furniture made in the UK. This year as the same as the last few years was mainly furniture made overseas and each stand virtually hand the same pieces to offer just in different finishes and colours. So in hindsight we were right to stop showcasing our furniture there.
